Bandai Namco Entertainment has confirmed that Bob is launching for Tekken 8 on August 19, 2026 for Character Pass owners and general release on August 24 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
Bob made his debut in Tekken 6 and is noted for his, shall we say, large appearance, as he fights based on two disciplines – speed and weight. As such, he increased his body mass as much as possible while retaining lighting-fast speed, making for an interesting combination of powerful strikes and swift movement. Bob returned for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Tekken 7 as base roster characters, but was conspicuous by his absence in Tekken 8’s lineup – until now, that is.
Check out Bob in action below.
Bob is one of four characters that make up Tekken 8’s third season of content, the others being Kunimitsu (now available), Roger Jr., and Yujiro Hanma, who is a guest character from the Baki the Grappler manga series. Tekken 8 is enjoying something of a resurgence lately thanks to a number of welcome balance changes from Bandai Namco, which has removed many of the egregious issues that were introduced in Season 2 last year.
Tekken 8 is now available for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
