Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed during its latest financial briefing that Tekken 8 is pencilled in for a fiscal year 2023, which means it won’t be out until some time after March 31, 2023. However, the publisher said it could come out later than that FY.
We are planning a large number of projects. Tekken 8 is also under development with the aim of launching in fiscal 2023 or later.
Tekken 8 is currently in development for PS5, PC and Xbox Series X/S, although there’s no word on an arcade version yet, which is odd considering the traditionally arrive in arcades before home consoles.
Following on from PS4’s Tekken 7, this latest entry in the long-running fighting game franchise once again focuses on a clash between father and son – this time being Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama. The graphics in the debut trailer are absolutely stunning, with gorgeous lighting effects, sumptuously-detailed character models and dynamic locations.
Tekken 8 is due out on PS5, PC and Xbox Series X/S with a concrete release date yet to be announced.
