Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced that Heihachi Mishima will be the third DLC character for Tekken 8, despite seemingly being killed off at the end of the previous game.
Heihachi will arrive in Autumn 2024 and needs no introduction at this point. He’s been in every mainline Tekken game to date, and is the father of Kazuya and grandfather to Jin. Tekken 7 was billed as the final battle between Kazuya and Heihachi, and indeed that seemed to be the case, when Kazuya dealt a lethal blow to his father’s chest before throwing him into the mouth of a volcano.
Furthermore, Tekken Team’s Michael Murray and Katsuhiro Harada have said on more than one occasion that Heihach was ‘completely dead,’ although given his iconic status, it’s maybe not too surprising to see the old man brought back from the grave.
