Bandai Namco Entertainment has officially announced Tekken 8 Season 2 during the Tekken World Tour Finals over the weekend, confirming a host of new content will be coming to the fighter including a major balance update and new moves for all characters.
The trailer below showcases some examples of the new moves that characters will receive, although it’s hard to really tell what they are as we only get a brief glimpse. However, we also see a helicopter pursuing Nina that features rockets with a lipstick ‘kiss’ on them, which is a trademark of her sister, Anna. Could she be a DLC character for Season 2? It’s possible!
Speaking of characters, the publisher confirmed that the fourth and final DLC for Season 1 will be showcased during The Game Awards later this week. Fan seem to be convinced it will be a guest character rather than a returning Tekken combatant, but that remains to be seen. I’ll have my fingers crossed for Cloud Strife, though.
Beyond the balance update and new moves, Bandai Namco is also upping the ante on customisation, with fan art now able to be displayed for pre-fight character panels, alongside new costumes and fresh options for Photo Mode.
