Bandai Namco Games has issued the latest Tekken 8 update, which implements 20 customisation slots for characters to share, as well as some major balance changes to newcomer Clive Rosfield. In particular, a lot of attention has been given to Clive’s long-reach Heat Engager, executed by pressing forward > 1 + 2, which has been adjusted so that it is punishable on block due to having been deemed strong with minimal risk. # Impact of the Update
The application of the update data will affect the following modes and features:
– “DOWNLOADED REPLAYS” / “MY REPLAY & TIPS”
Replay data from before the update will no longer be playable.
– “ONLINE REPLAY”
All replay data from before the update will be deleted.
– “SUPER GHOST BATTLE” / “GHOST MATCH”
The behavior and performance of characters after the update will be reflected in ghost data.
There will be no loss of data.

* Added UI Hide Function
– Added the ability to hide UI by pressing [R3/R Stick/N]
# “CHARACTER CUSTOMIZE”
* Added “SHARED CUSTOMIZE SLOT”
– Added 20 customization slots shared across all playable characters
– Switch to the “Shared” tab from each character’s dedicated slot screen to save additional customizations
– Customizations saved in “SHARED CUSTOMIZE SLOT” can be accessed by switching up/down during customization slot selection at character select
* Added “Add to Favorites” Function
– Press [□/X button/U] in the customization slot list screen to add (or remove) any customization to favorites
– Favorited customizations are displayed with priority during customization slot selection at character select
* Added “Replace” Function
– In the customization slot list screen, press [△/Y button/I] on the slot you want to rearrange and select “Replace” to change slot order
# “QUICK MATCH” “GROUP MATCH” “TEKKEN BALL (ONLINE)”
* Added rematch function
– After a best-of-3 online match concludes, players can rematch from the result screen without returning to the matchmaking standby screen
# “PRACTICE”
* Improved “Punishment Settings” display
– In Practice Mode “Offense”, when setting CPU behavior using “Punishment Settings” > “Select from Punishment List”, the configured settings are now also displayed in the “Punishment Settings” list
# “PRACTICE” “VERSUS”
* Improved “Photo Mode” controls
– Mouse wheel can now be used for zoom in/out operations *Steam version only

* Added function to hide unwanted other player information
– Can be configured by selecting “Screen Settings” > “Hide Other Player Names”, “Hide Friends/Following/Rivals”
– When “Hide Other Player Names” is selected, player names other than your own will be displayed as “-” in the following situations:
Opponent players in online matches / Profiles other than your own / Players in lounges
Player list in lounges / Opponent players in online practice / Ghost battles with players
Recently played players list / Replay list / Opponent players during replay playback
– When “Hide Friends / Following / Rivals” is selected, the following “Friends / Following / Rivals” displays can be hidden:

* Added function to access replay list from profile screen
– Now possible to navigate to a player’s replay list from their profile screen
# “PLAYABLE CHARACTERS”
* Adjusted behavior and performance of certain characters
– In V1.11, behavior fixes and performance adjustments have been applied to Heihachi and Clive.
– Heihachi will only receive minor adjustments to address unintended phenomena, whereas Clive will undergo
significant changes to character balance, such as suppressing the performance of certain overpowered moves.
– Improvements have been made to enhance the quality of sound effects (SE), voice, and visual effects.
