We've been lacking some great PlayStation tennis games since the days of Top Spin and Virtua tennis, but Tennis World Tour is looking to plug that gap. Billed as a tennis simulation game, Tennis World Tour now has a firm release date.

It also looks like BigBen and Breakpoint are creating different packshots for the retail release based on which tennis stars are popular in certain countries. The UK, for example, will have a packshot with Roger Federer Angelique Kerber and Stan Wawrinka.

In Tennis World Tour, which has been described as the spiritual successor to Top Spin, players can take control of 30 famous players in career mode. It's also rumoured that more tennis stars will be added to the roster post-launch. Check out the trailer to see the game in action!
There's a create-a-player system, allowing you to mould your own star with a variety of customization options and ranked online play so you can compete with friends worldwide.
The idea of career mode will be to move through the ranks from 100 to 1 by taking part in tournaments,and hiring the right agents and coaches. You'll unlock equipment as you progress and can earn boosts to your stats based on your performance on the court.
