At the tail end of summer, interactive museum creators Digital Eclipse announced that the next project in its Gold Masters Series would be Tetris Forever.
A deep-dive into the 40+ year history of what is arguably one of the most influential games this industry has ever seen, with more than 15 different classic versions of Tetris included.
It’ll also include a completely brand new Tetris game called Tetris Time Warp, which constantly ‘warps’ players from one version of Tetris to another, so you’ll need to be on your toes as you jump across Tetris versions throughout its long history.

What’s perhaps most exciting though for Tetris aficionados is that Tetris Forever will also include what Digital Eclipse is calling an “authentic recreation” of the very first version of Tetris developed by the game’s creator Alexey Pajitnov, which he made on a Soviet “Electronika 60” computer.
