Square Enix has super-glued a Japanese release date to upcoming PSP horror The 3rd Birthday, confirming the game will launch in the region on December 22.
News comes following Sony’s Tokyo Game Show press event earlier today, where Square’s Shinji Hashimoto also revealed that the firm will put out a downloadable Lightning (from Final Fantasy XIII) costume for the game as part of cross promotion between The 3rd Birthday and Dissidia 012: Final Fantasy.
The 3rd Birthday will be making the transition to western markets in 2011, though an exact date has yet to be pinned down.
