While many consider it a niche title in the west, the Yakuza series is very popular in Japan. SEGA went full-out to show off what can be considered their flagship game for the launch of the PlayStation 4 in Japan. The game goes back to the samurai days as Kazuma Kiryu turns in his trademark suit for a kimono. While SEGA only showed a video of the gameplay it did enough to wow us into believing this is a must-have, day one purchase. A new setting brings freshness to the series. New combat systems, weapon crafting and other RPG and sim elements are also sure to add lots of depth to the game that will keep players not wanting to put down their controller. No other game at the event had the wow factor that made us hate having to wait for the localization.
