Hajime Tabata, director of PlayStation Portable gems Final Fantasy Type-0 and The 3rd Birthday, has said he’d love to churn out a new entry in the Parasite Eve series, though admitted a Type-0 follow-up may enter production first.
Although keen on the idea of a sequel to The 3rd Birthday, Tabata-san told Famitsu (via Andriasang) that Square Enix’s development policy would require him to kick start work on a Type-0 sequel before anything else.
From the look of things it seems that Square has big plans for the Final Fantasy sub-series, having already registered domains for Type-1, Type-2 and Type-3.
Unfortunately for westerners however, Type-0 has yet to be released outside of its native Japan.
