The CEO of Rebel Wolves, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, has revealed during a chat with PAP Biznes that the studio’s debut project, The Blood of Dawnwalker, could receive small, free add-ons as part of a planned roadmap for the game.
“As for whether there will be add-ons immediately or not at all, we have recently started talks on this topic so as to plan a roadmap and timeline of smaller, free add-ons, but we have not yet made a decision,” he revealed.
While nothing has been confirmed yet in regards to what type of content the game will receive, we should probably keep expectations in check for now, as ‘smaller’ content drops suggests it won’t be something along the lines of narrative-based expansions. Elsewhere, the executive touched briefly on what could follow The Blood of Dawnwalker, depending on financial results.
Our goal is that after the premiere, the cash balance in the company’s account will allow us to release a sequel and further develop the company. If after the debut of the game it turns out that these financial results are better, we will definitely be happy. Secondly, for us at Rebel Wolves, the most important thing is that the company is a safe haven that rewards creativity.
Although I think it’s just as important, if not more important for us, to have about 1.5 million wishlist signs, which is a better metric for us, because players tend to be reluctant to make pre-order purchases, often waiting for extensive and in-depth reviews.
