The Callisto Protocol 60 FPS Performance Mode Confirmed, Game Is Not Delayed

Striking Distance Studios has announced that The Callisto Protocol has not been delayed, and what’s more, the game will feature a 60 FPS Performance Mode.

The studio tweet in response to rumors overnight that the survival horror title was being pushed back to February 2023. Fortunately, this was a load of rubbish, and the game is still due out in December.

Striking Distance Studios’ Glen Schofield previously revealed during an interview with EDGE magazine that The Callisto Protocol will last around 12-14 hours, with alternate routes available for players to take.

Schofield recently stirred controversy on Twitter for seemingly glorifying crunch culture, but was quick to clarify that he does ‘not believe in crunch.’

Elsewhere, Striking Distance’s Mark James boasted how the game features the “most realistic characters you’ll see in a game.”

Our characters are the most realistic characters you’ll see in a game. So much so, that when we first showed our game, everybody thought it was pre-rendered. We were like, ‘No, this is how our character looks. This is how Josh [Duhamel, the actor behind the game’s main character] looks’.
