The Callisto Protocol Looks More Terrifying In Each New Trailer

The Callisto Protocol PS5 Review

While EA Motive is working away at remaking Dead Space, creator of that franchise Glen Scholfield is working with his new studio, Striking Distance Studios to create the better successor to what Dead Space was with The Callisto Protocol.

A game which only seems to be more terrifying with each new trailer, and the most recent trailer, titled “The Truth Of The Black Iron” continues that legacy.

And though it doesn’t really tell us a whole lot, this new trailer does at least provide a bit more context for the narrative.

You can check out The Truth Of The Black Iron trailer for The Callisto Protocol for yourself, here.

Pointed out by Nibel on Twitter, the trailer also reveals that Karen Fukuhara from the hit show on Prime Video The Boys is in The Callisto Protocol.

Striking Distance Studios has been clear that The Callisto Protocol isn’t meant to be Dead Space 4, but its own IP that is a combination of what worked with Dead Space, and what worked in other titles as well.

Scholfield is known for saying “If I’ll steal from anybody, I’ll steal from myself” when it comes to comparing The Callisto Protocol and Dead Space.

Even without being able to play The Callisto Protocol yet, everything says that’s an apt comparison, so it might in many ways still feel like Dead Space.

But in many ways it also looks like The Callisto Protocol is going to be everything Dead Space but far better at it, while also providing the player with a deeper experience.

Suffice it to say, December can’t get here soon enough.
