2K’s pinned a U.K. release date on The Darkness II, confirming the sequel’s due out in the region on October 7, 2011.
The Digital Extremes-developed shooter introduces “quad wielding,” allowing protagonist Jackie Estacado to utilize his darkness powers and firearms simultaneously.
The game also adopts a cel-shaded aesthetic similar to Borderlands, bringing the action closer to the comic book in terms of overall visual presentation.
Elsewhere, 2K also confirmed that gravity-centric blaster Inversion will launch in the U.K. on February 10, 2012.
