The Division update 1.6 is one of the biggest updates for Ubisoft Massive’s sprawling action-shooter to date, offering a number of balance changes to gear and various other gameplay tweaks. Full patch notes are incoming, so we’ll be sure to update this article as soon as we get our mitts on them. In addition, update 1.6 will improve PS4 Pro support for The Division, increasing the game’s resolution.
Released in March 2016, Tom Clancy’s The Division is an online-focused shooter where players battle against opposing factions across New York City, which has been ravaged by a smallpox outbreak over the Christmas holidays. The game was met with huge success, generating $300 million worldwide upon release and recording the biggest first-week launch for a new gaming franchise.
In addition to the success of the game, Ubisoft has confirmed that a film adaptation of The Division is currently in the pipeline, with Jake Gyllenhaal set to feature in a starring role. As of January 2017, the film has a director attached in the shape of Stephen Gaghan.
