The Elder Scrolls Online is going free to play for a week starting today, April 11. Those of you interested will be able to experience the MMORPG free on PS4, Xbox One, and PC starting at 10.00am EST/7.00am PST.
This free trial week gives players access to the entire Gold Edition of the game. To sweeten the deal, Bethesda is throwing in 500 Crowns of in-game currency for you to purchase a number of add-ons including weapons, armour and cosmetic upgrades. Be prepared for a large download though, as the latest Elder Scrolls update takes up over 100Gb due to 1.22 patch. If you intend to download The Elder Scrolls, you best get downloading.
If you have not already purchased The Elder Scrolls Online, the Tamriel Unlimited and Gold Edition are to be discounted to get you into the full game quicker. This free week will help bring in new players, as the the latest Elder Scrolls Expansion is set to release on June 6. The Morrowind expansion sees players trekking through the Morrowind, a fan-favourite location from the series that appeared in The Elder Scrolls III.
