- Enhancements for Playstation 4 Pro
- General memory and performance optimization and minor bug fixes
Initially it was believed the game would not support Sony’s high-end console, with only Xbox One X support confirmed upon release.
The Evil Within 2 was released in October for PS4, PC, and Xbox One. The game is a direct follow-up to Shinji Mikami’s 2014 horror title, and sees protagonist Sebastian Castellanos battling demonic creatures as he attempts to rescue his missing daughter.
Despite receiving favorable reviews from critics, The Evil Within 2 failed to set the charts alight, with physical sales down by nearly 75 percent over its predecessor.
However, this could be attributed to the rise in digital sales, with purchases over the PlayStation Store rocketing in the past three years.
The original Evil Within was supported by two additional downloadable content packs. Right now it’s unknown if the sequel will receive any post-launch DLC.
