The Evil Within, the upcoming survival horror title from Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami, is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Publishing Bethesda confirmed the news at E3 this week, having previously remained unclear on the subject of the game’s arrival on next-generation consoles.
The Evil Within is due out in 2014 and is in development at Mikami-san’s Tango Gameworks, and will also arrive on PlayStation and Xbox 360.
Mikami-san helped popularize the survival horror genre back in 1996 with the original Resident Evil, and remained with the franchise up until and including 2005’s Resident Evil 4. Since then, he’s worked at Clover Studios and Platinum Games before founding Tango.
