The release date for Bethesda’s upcoming survival horror title, The Evil Within, has been brought forward one week.
Originally scheduled to ship on October 21, the Shinji Mikami-helmed bloodbath will now shamble into stores on October 14.
The news was dropped at QuakeCon yesterday by Bethesda’s PR guru, Pete Hines.
Developed by Mikami-san’s Tango Gameworks, The Evil Within looks set to reinvigorate the horror genre with its tale of unlucky cop, Sebastian, who ends up battling undead in a nightmarish, blood-soaked world punctuated by brain-teasing puzzles and grisly discoveries.
We went hands-on with the game a few months ago and came away rather impressed.
The Evil Within is due out on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
