The House Of The Dead Remake For PS4 Spotted On PSN Backend

Forever Entertainment‘s The House of the Dead Remake has only been announced for Nintendo Switch, but the game could be on its way to PS4, as a Reddit user has discovered it’s been added to the PSN backend.

In addition to the listing, there’s also a tile image of the zombie shooter hosted on the PlayStation.com servers.

The House of the Dead Remake is scheduled for release on Switch digitally on April 7, and will launch physical in Europe on May 26 and in the US on June 14.

SEGA originally released The House of the Dead back in arcades in 1997, and the game was ported to the Sega Saturn some time after. The game is a classic on-the-rails zombie shooter where you investigate a mansion overrun with undead and other zombified creatures, and is an absolute blast when played with a mate.

The Saturn version looks a bit ropey nowadays due to its aged visuals, but back in the day it was a great fun and still remains so to this day. Fortunately, the remake comes with a generous helping of extra content, so even if you aced the original, there’s plenty of new stuff here to see.

The House of the Dead 2 followed in 1999 for the Dreamcast and is a fan-favourite, packing tons of extras and make fine use of the console’s light gun.
