The House of the Dead Remake was released in April 2022 for PS4, and was previously exclusive to the Nintendo Switch for a brief period. You can read our full verdict on the game here to see if it’s worth a punt.
Published by Forever Entertainment, The House of the Dead Remake is a full revamp of the 90s undead shooter, which launched in 1996 in arcades and was later ported to the Sega Saturn. The game spawned a number of sequels, including The House of the Dead 2, which is also getting the remake treatment at some point.
The House of the Dead was also adapted into a movie by notorious German director Uwe Boll in 2003, and suffice to say it was a load of rubbish.
