The Last of Us HBO showrunner Craig Mazin has poured cold water on any hopes of a spin-off featuring the characters of Bill and Frank, after actor Nick Offerman sparked interest in one following his win at the Creative Emmys.
Speaking with Deadline during a post-Emmy shindig, Mazin revealed that Offerman wasn’t actually being serious about a spin-off featuring his character, and that there wouldn’t be anymore from Bill and Frank.
I’m very proud of the episode we did with Bill and Frank. There won’t be more Bill and Frank. Nick was joking about a prequel, that was kind of a joke. We are very happy with what we achieved.
