Naughty Dog has announced that its PS5 Pro updates for The Last of Us Part I and The Last of Us Part II Remastered are now available to download.
We previously covered the full patch notes for both games a few weeks back (Part I and Part II), but suffice to say, the games run much more impressively than on the standard PS5, with Naughty Dog taking full advantage of Sony’s PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) to improve both games’ resolution. The existing Performance and Fidelity modes are still available and have also been improved for PS5 Pro users.

The PS5 Pro is available today for $699.99/£699.99, and the PS5 Pro Enhanced label is one of its biggest selling points, able to drastically improve resolution and frame rate for compatible tiles. Not only that, but the Boost Mode also offers some enhancements without the need for a patch; as an example, GT7 is able to run at a native 4K/120 FPS with no Enhanced patch.
The Last of Us originally came out for the PS3 in June 2013 and was remastered for the PS4 the following year. Naughty Dog spruced up the post-apocalyptic adventurer once again for PS5 in September 2022, while The Last of Us Part II arrived in June 2020 and was given a PS5 remastered treatment earlier this year.
