The Last of Us: Remastered update 1.01 out now, player count surpasses PS3 version after just two days

Naughty Dog’s Drew Thaler has confirmed that The Last of Us: Remastered has already eclipsed its PlayStation 3 predecessor in terms of active multiplayer participants.

Thaler confirmed the milestone on Twitter just two days after the PlayStation 4 revamp of last year’s post-apocalyptic horror hit stores in the U.S.

However, the game’s launch hasn’t been without its hiccups. Matchmaking for the online portion of The Last of Us has been patchy at best, though fortunately, Naughty Dog confirmed that a patch has now been made available to remedy the issue.

So, those of you who are currently indulging in a spot of multiplayer would do well to snap up patch v1.01.005 right now.

The Last of Us: Remastered is due out in the U.K. tomorrow.
