The Lord of the Rings: Gollum hasn’t exactly gotten off to the best of starts. Following numerous delays, the Middle-earth adventure game finally came out yesterday, but is already been labelled the worst-reviews game of the year so far on Metacriitic and OpenCritic.
Metacritic features 296 games for its best games of 2023 to date, with the PC version of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum sitting at 295 with a sore of 43, behind Clive ‘N’ Wrench. Even worse off is the PS5 version of the game, which is last place on the list with a score of 38.
Meanwhile, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum also sits at the bottom spot for OpenCritic’s list of games, scoring 40 and landing at no.213.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is now available for PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
