After nearly two years of waiting, Ready at Dawn’s hotly anticipated The Order: 1886 finally hits shelve worldwide tomorrow, bringing with it a unique take on Victorian London in one of PlayStation 4’s most stunning-looking games released to date.
Yes, much has been made of the game’s sumptuous graphics, which combine realistic character models with jaw-dropping draw distance, particle effects, and gorgeous lighting to fully recreate 19th century London’s smoggy streets. Only in this alternate time zone, there’s an ancient order of Knights running about with high-tech weaponry, slaying monstrous beasts known as the Lycan.
The Order: 1886 hasn’t been without its criticism in the run-up to release, however. Just as the game has set tongues wagging about its beautiful graphics, criticism has been fired at the title’s short game length and apparent lack of gameplay variety—although only now we’re finally able to shed light on just how Ready at Dawn’s ambitious title shapes up.
Yep, reviews have finally invaded the web, and we’ve got the round-up below. First of all though, check out PSU’s definitive verdict from Kyle Prahl here.
