Fresh evidence that The Outer Worlds is coming to the PS5 has emerged via a second rating for the game, this time on the ESRB. Like the Taiwan rating before it, this is for The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition.
The rating doesn’t really give anything away at all, only that it’s coming to PS5, PC and Xbox Series X/S.
Given that The Outer Worlds has received some solid post-launch content, there’s no reason why the Spacer’s Choice Edition won’t feature the previously released expansions.
The Outer Worlds was originally released in October 2019 for PS4, PC and Xbox One, with Nintendo Switch edition turning up the following June. In March 2021, Obsidian optimised the game for the PS5 allowing it to run at 60 FPS; presumably the new version rated above will feature those same improvements.

Obsidian Entertainment is currently working on The Outer Worlds 2 for PC and Xbox Series X/S, but sadly PlayStation fans are left out in the cold here due to Microsoft’s acquisition of ZeniMax Media.
