After multiple Japanese Youtubers got their hands on the PS5 and posted their footage this past weekend, we got a nice new look at Sony’s next-generation console, but one of the more interesting points that came from this new look is that the regular PS5 has a mysterious nut in the upper right corner of its casing.
The nut, which was spotted by 4Gamer and picked up by The Verge is reportedly set to be how you access the inside of the PS5 and its expandable SSD is found. Whilst this isn’t confirmed by Sony it certainly seems like the most likely use for this mysterious nut.
This round of previews revealed a bunch of new information about the PS5 including a look at how the DualSense will show what player number you are and the various colors the light bar can change to. It was also revealed that Sony will change the confirm button in Japan to ‘X’ after decades of using the ‘O’ button.
The PS5 releases on November 12, 2020, in the US and November 19, 2020, in the UK and EU.
