The Thing Remastered from remaster/remake house Nightdive Studios is out right now on PS5 and PS4.
What was clearly meant to be a surprise drop however was unceremoniously spoiled by an Xbox Wire post going live a day early. Regardless, you can head to the PlayStation Store right now and jump back into the classic sci-fi horror as fast as your console can install it.
Announced as part of this year’s PC Gaming Show, a launch trailer which you can check out below.
The classic third-person survival horror is finally back and fully formed in this remaster, as Nightdive promised to “fulfill the original vision” of the early 2000’s classic.
Of course the film needs no introduction, and it’s easy to see how that setting would work seamlessly for a survival horror game.
Hopefully Nightdive have once again been able to work some remaster-magic and keep good on the promise it made.
