The Thing Remastered Showcases Sci-Fi Horrors In First Gameplay Trailer

Nightdive Studios has unleashed a spine-chilling debut gameplay trailer for The Thing Remastered, offering a proper glimpse at how the developer is injecting new life into the 2002 cult classic.

The Thing Remastered offers a wealth of improvement over the original 2002 version of the survival horror title, using the KEX Engine to provide up to 4K resolution at 120 FPS. Nightdive Studios has spruced up the game’s character models, textures, and animations, which have been hand-crafted for this remaster, while lighting and atmospheric effects have been greatly improved thanks to advanced 3D rendering.

Based in the same universe as John Carpenter’s genre-defining sci-fi horror title, The Thing Remastered casts players as United States Army Special Forces rescue team leader Captain J.F.Blake, who are dispatched to investigate the events that transpired during the events of the movie.

The Thing Remastered is due out in 2024 for PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
