If you happen to be one of the three people in the world that hasn’t played Telltale’s The Walking Dead series before, or if you’re hankering to jump back in and go through it all again, you’ll be happy to know that not only is the whole thing getting re-released on September 10, it’ll also be packing improved visuals and animations too.
Referred to as ‘graphic black’, the visual upgrade for The Walking Dead Definitive Series is fairly subtle in execution, boasting improved and moodier lighting that is more in line with the original comics and smoother animations at the forefront of the improvements.
When it releases later this year, The Walking Dead Definitive Series will include all of the Telltale Walking Dead games and all of the DLC which was released too.
This means the Walking Dead Definitive Series will include:
- The Walking Dead
- 400 Days (DLC episode)
- The Walking Dead: Season Two
- The Walking Dead: Michonne (spin-off season)
- The Walking Dead: A New Frontier
- The Walking Dead: The Final Season
In addition to what amounts to well over 50 hours of gameplay, the Definitive Series also provides players with a number of bonuses too. Boasting more than 10 hours of developer commentary, behind-the-scenes bonus features including concept and character art galleries, a “Return of The Walking Dead” documentary short, faithful recreations of classic menus, and a music player with over 140 musical tracks, it’s fair to say that The Walking Dead Definitive Series is pretty well stuffed with value.
The Walking Dead Definitive Series will also be receiving a physical release too, with pre-orders set at around $49.99. Digital pre-orders are set to go live at a later date.
Until then however, you can catch the graphic black teaser for The Walking Dead Definitive Series below:
