Netflix has announced that its prequel series The Witcher: Blood Origin has cast Sophia Brown as Éile, a warrior-turned-Nomadic musician.
Sophia Brown joins as Éile, an elite warrior-turned-nomadic musician who is forced to return to the way of the blade after a grand reckoning on the Continent sends her on a quest for vengeance and redemption.
In case you haven’t been keeping up, Netflix’s new series is a prequel to core The Witcher TV series, which is gearing up for its second season. Key figures in The Witcher: Blood Origin include Declan de Barra and Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, the latter who serves as showrunner on the main show.
I am so thrilled to collaborate with Declan and the Netflix team on The Witcher: Blood Origin. It’s an exciting challenge to explore and expand The Witcher universe created by Andrzej Sapkowski, and we can’t wait to introduce fans to new characters and an original story that will enrich our magical, mythical world even more.
The Witcher: Blood Origin has been confirmed as a six-part offering complement the main show on Netflix.
