These PS4 Assassin’s Creed Syndicate steampunk outfits will need over 3GB on your HDD

Ubisoft has released a pair of new outfits for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate on PlayStation 4, but they’ll come at a price: a whopping 3.1GB of storage space on your console’s hard drive for both costumes.

The new outfits, which offer Jacob and Evie a steampunk spin on their traditional Victorian assassin clobber, come as part of the game’s Season Pass. Evie’s outfit weighs in at 1GB alone, while the Steampunk Pack, which includes Jacob’s costume and a few other bits and bobs, will eat up 2.1GB on your PS4.

If you aren’t a Season Pass holder you can pick up Evie’s costume for free, though the Steampunk Pack will set you back £3.99. Both outfits eat up more space on Sony’s console than the Xbox One. Quite why these outfits take up so much storage space is unknown, although if we hear anything we’ll be sure to update this article.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is out now on PS4, PC, and Xbox One. The game takes place in the year 1868 during Queen Victoria’s reign on the throne of England, and offers players a massive open-world London to explore, with sights including Big Ben, St. Paul’s Cathedral, and the Tower of London. Gamers take control of two playable characters—the aforementioned twins, Evie and Jacob—who can be switched instantly at any point during free-roam situations, as the pair attempt to liberate the city from the Templars and their Blighter gangs.

Fortunately, Syndicate launched with noticeably fewer bugs than last year’s Assassin’s Creed Unity, and managed to debut in first place on the U.K. All Format Chart. However, it recorded the worst launch sales of any major entry in the franchise to date, beating only last year’s PS3 and Xbox 360 release, Assassin’s Creed Rogue.
