Tiger Woods 12 tees off to 225,000 sales

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters shifted an estimated 225,000 copies during its first week on sale in the U.S., delivering the highest week-one sales in the golf sim’s 14-year history.

The game eclipsed former first week sales record holder PGA Tour 08 by 17 percent in North America, while week one digital revenue for the series is believed to have shot up by 200 percent year-on-year.

EA Sports big cheese Peter Moore commented:  "We expected fans to be excited about the Masters and for sales to be up significantly. We’re pleased that they are."

"Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters has earned rave reviews, and fans have played nearly two million rounds at Augusta National Golf Club during the first two weeks."

In addition, the game has also raked in multiple gameplay milestones since its launch in late March. Among these include the fact gamers have played over seven million matches across all courses, with owners of the console release having played the equivalent of 2,515 PGA Tour seasons in online play.

Furthermore, players have taken over a whopping 184 golf shots, unlocked 1.5 million Trophies/Achievements and completed 12 million course mastery objectives.
