Tim Schafer won’t rule out Psychonauts sequel

Double Fine’s Tim Schafer hasn’t ruled out the possibility of cobbling together a Psychonauts sequel at some point later down the line, admitting the team “would love to do it.”

Quizzed by the chaps at Videogamer.com on the chances of a follow-up seeing the light of day, Schafer responded by reminding fans that the developer still owns the rights to the IP.

"It depends how much money you brought to the interview, so if you have a few million," he commented. "We own the rights to it so as long as we stick around … eventually, you know, I’m sure we’ll get it done before the sun explodes."

"We would love to do it, we would love to do it."

Psychonauts hit shelves back in 2005 to a rapturous applause from critics, though the game’s commercial reception was somewhat muted by comparison.
