Tokyo Game Show organisers CESA, Nikkei, and Dentsu have announced that the year’s show will be a physical event for the first time in three years.
The TGS 2022 event will take place September 15 – 18, and will take place at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba City, and is open for business and general visitors. However, due to COVID-19 policies, there will only be a limited number of tickets available, while elementary school students and younger children will not be permitted to attend “due to uncertainties of vaccination situations among young people.”
As mentioned this is the first time that TGS will be a physical event in three years, with the coronavirus pandemic restricting things to digital events during that time. This year’s theme will be “Nothing Stops Gaming.”
