The lead battle designer on Creative Assembly‘s Total War franchise has said that he’s ‘looking forward’ to the day when the PC-exclusive franchise will make the transition to home consoles.
Speaking with TheGamer, Jim Whitson wouldn’t outright confirm that Total War will be hitting consoles or when we could expect a release to happen, but did nonetheless give hope that it could happen down the line.
“I’m no great expert it seems that the distinctions between the different platforms are ever narrowing, I mean, there’s the whole concept of streaming and so on now,” before adding, “hopefully in the future [platform distinctions] will disappear entirely and it won’t even debate any longer.”
Whitson went on to say that whatever way something is played on is “just a way of interfacing with a game, so yeah looking forward to that day, personally.”
