We all know how exciting Sony’s Gamers Day was. Between Uncharted, Warhawk, LittleBigPlanet and Heavenly Sword, PlayStation nation was smiling wide. However, some worried that Sony had put everything on the table during the event, and would therefore have nothing to show at E3. Jack Tretton, Sony Computer Entertainment’s President, has put those worries to rest.
In his first post on SCEA’s new PlayStation Blog, Tretton confirmed that "more than 15 games" are coming from their own internal studios this year, and that new PS3 titles would be unveiled at E3.
He continued, "Our third party partners will weigh in with a host of great games giving us more than 100 titles by year-end on that system alone."
"Right now, we are working on a slew of games and game packs that will be offered through the PlayStation Store in the coming months."
"Everyone here at SCEA is working very hard and is dedicated to pushing the development envelope to show you not only new stuff for games like Heavenly Sword, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction," he said, "But also a few surprises we have up our sleeves that no one has seen."
Besides Killzone 2, perhaps Sucker Punch’s new project, which is said to be a drastic departure from Sly Cooper, will be unveiled. Be sure to check back during E3 to find out.
