Twilight Path Is A New Puzzler-Adventure Coming To PSVR In October

Developer Charm Games has lifted the wraps off a new PSVR puzzler-adventure game titled Twilight Path, which is winging its way to Sony’s virtual reality headset next month.

Twilight Path Announced For PSVR

Inspired by 80s and 90s childhood fantasy and adventure movies, Twilight Path is headed by creative director Derek Young at the Vancouver-based studio, and seeks to immerse players in a first-person interactive fairytale world filled with characters and stories ‘you can not only watch but co-exist with.’

Twilight Path is set in a surreal realm between the real world and the afterlife. In this story-driven adventure, you’re mysteriously transported to the land of Twilight. You’ll awaken in this fantasy world to discover you’ve become trapped, and your only way home leads through the ancient remnants of a land that has been home to wandering spirits and souls for countless generations.

Using the PlayStation Move controllers players will be able to interact with objects they find in the game world to help them overcome various puzzles. Magical powers can also be wielded, giving you the ability to control things beyond your own grasp and reveal hidden sights and sounds.

You’ll also bump into a host of colourful characters, including Barque, the ferryman of Twilight, who is responsible for picking up lost souls and giving them safe passage to the afterlife. He’s seen everything the land has to offer, and knows every nook and cranny. Still, it’s been a few millennia sine he’s clapped eyes on a lost soul like yourself.

Then there’s Singe, the ‘cantankerous’ fire spirit responsible for Barque’s engines running. He’s shady about his past, and no one knows how he manages to keep his perpetual flames alight — a fiery temper is probably the reason, though.

Twilight Path is due out on PSVR in October 2020. Read more about the game on the PlayStation Blog here.
