When PSU got the chance to visit Ubisoft Toronto to check out a behind-the-scenes look at Star Wars: Outlaws, while we were excited to look more at Outlaws ahead of its launch, but the chance to be inside the studio felt like an opportunity to catch a look at what else is going on in the building.
The Ubisoft Toronto branch has multiple projects going on, something that it’s managing director Darryl Long emphasized at the top of the day. He talked about how the team had helped launch XDefiant, it recently being put on the Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time Remake, and with a slight pause for dramatic effect, Long also mentioned the highly anticipated Splinter Cell Remake.
And just a second later, Long provided us with the only update we’ve had on the remake for months – that the team still isn’t yet ready to show or talk about anything Splinter Cell.
Long said that it would “remain in stealth mode, for now,” during his morning presentation. It’s not what fans want to hear, but it seems like for now it’s all we’re going to hear.
In the meantime, you can check out our behind-the-scenes coverage of what it was like to be at the Ubisoft Toronto studio and interview a few members of the cast and development team, here.
