Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy has notched up yet another number one position in the UK Sales Chart, beating out competition from Nintendo’s Splatoon 2 for its second consecutive week.
The PlayStation 4 platform game collection has now spent four weeks out of five since its launch in pole position on the U.K. All Format Chart, continuing the game’s success as one of the major single-format console releases of the year.

Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy was released on June 30, 2017 exclusively for PS4, although this week there’s been murmurs that the game may come to Xbox One. The project was developed by Vicarious Visions, and includes full-blown remakes of the following PlayStation-era titles: Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, and Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped.
Publisher Activision recently admitted that the collection, particularly the original Crash Bandicoot, is more difficult than the original releases for PSOne.
While a new Crash Bandicoot game has yet to be announced, Vicarious Visions has expressed interest in working on another remake of a classic title in the series, possibly the fan-favorite Crash Team Racing. A brand new entry in the venerable platforming franchise hasn’t entirely been ruled out, however.
Crash made his debut in 1996 as a rival to Mario and Sonic, with the crate-bashing marsupial becoming something of an unofficial mascot for PlayStation during the late 90s. Once the millennium rolled around however, the series made the transition to multiplatform territory and was passed around to various developers.
