Kaitlyn Dever of Unbelievable fame has expressed interest in playing Ellie in the upcoming TV adaptation of The Last of Us. In case you weren’t aware, Dever also portrayed Cassie Drake in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

Speaking with Collider, Dever revealed that she’s a big fan of Naughty Dog’s post-apocalyptic title, as well as recalling her previous work with Neil Druckmann working on Uncharted 4. She also reckons Hugh Jackman would be a great fit for the role of Joel.
I am a huge fan of the game. I think it is a beautiful story… It’s just a wonderful narrative and I fell in love with that game when it came out. I played it with my Dad, and we just had the best time. I’m not very good at it, my aim is really bad, but I’m working on getting better. I love The Last of Us, I think it’s a great game.”
Neil Druckmann, I worked with him on Uncharted 4 and I think he’s one of the smartest guys I’ve ever met, and one of the sweetest. And I’m not shutting it down – y’know, I would absolutely love to do that. But I don’t know where it’s at yet.
The TV adaptation of The Last of Us is currently in the works at HBO and PlayStation Productions.
