PlayStation 3 owners are going to be very busy soon as several games are set to release in the coming months, including Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Sony announced today that the PS3 exclusive and follow-up to 2007’s hit action game will be released in the U.S. on October 13.
In addition to getting a release date, Sony also revealed the final box art for Uncharted 2. The artwork shows Nathan Drake sporting a daring last-minute grasp for dear life.
Sony also revealed its retailer plan for downloadable exclusives with Amazon.com, GameStop, Game Crazy, and BestBuy. If you pre-order from BestBuy you can get the golden Barettas that Drake uses in multiplayer.
Pre-ordering from Amazon.com lands you an exclusive treasure map, revealing hidden treasures throughout the game. Game Crazy is giving away exclusive multiplayer in-game currency and bonuses while GameStop is offering first access to the multiplayer demo and the downloadable Revenge Attribute.
The GameStop exclusive multiplayer demo runs from September 9 to September 29. It will be open to the public on September 30 and will wrap-up when the game is officially released.
