Naughty Dog has staple-gunned a March 13 release date to Uncharted 3’s upcoming Shade Survival co-op mode.
The date applies to the North American release, though tradition dictates PAL gamers should get it the next day.
Shade takes the form of a wave-based blaster comprised of eight rounds, where you are pitted against legions of progressively tougher Djinn.
Said Eric Monacelli, community strategist at Naughty Dog: "The Djinn’s ability to catch fire and teleport poses a formidable challenge to team strategy and coordination, and later rounds include highly skilled Djinn sporting extra armour and firepower, so get ready for a hearty battle.”
Shade also features various objectives throughout matches. One such example is Marked Man, which sees one Djinn protected by bodyguards, making him tougher to take down. Players will be able to accumulate in-game cash during the co-op mode, and new medals are also promised.
Shade Survival will retail for $5.99, though will come free of charge for Fortune Hunters Club members.
The final batch of DLC for Uncharted 3 will arrive in April 2012.
