Uncharted 4 is ‘the most visually stunning game ever,’ says Naughty Dog

Speaking in light of news that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End hit gold status over the weekend, Naughty Dog’s Bruce Straley has proclaimed on Twitter that the action-adventure sequel is the most ‘visually stunning game’ ever created.

Naturally, Straley was quick to stress that this was merely his opinion, although it’s not hard to see why; Nathan Drake’s latest (and final) adventure has floored jaws every time we’ve clapped eyes on a new trailer on the sequel, and remains a poster boy for PlayStation 4’s graphical showcase.

I can’t wait for you guys to see what I think (keywords "I think") is the most visually stunning game ever created,” enthused Straley, who serves as Game Director on the hotly anticipated title.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is scheduled for release on May 10, 2016. The game was delayed numerous times over the past 18 months or so; Naughty Dog originally pinned a winter 2015 date on the game, before pushing it back to March 18 and April 26 before finally settling on an early May window.

Set a few years after the events of its predecessor, Uncharted 4 sees Drake on the hunt for a legendary pirate treasure off the coast of Madagascar. In addition to teaming up with long-time mentor Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan, the fortune hunter is also reunited with his brother, Sam, who Nate assumed to have perished years before.

Uncharted 4 is the final game to feature Drake, although Naughty Dog is by no means done with developing games for the PS4.
