Uncharted 4 ‘looking incredible,’ says fan film creator

The brains behind Uncharted Ambushed, a fan film based on Naughty Dog’s critically acclaimed action-adventure franchise, was recently treated to an exclusive glimpse at Nathan Drake’s upcoming PlayStation 4 outing, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

Fortunately for us gamers, Martin Sofieda was quick to share his thoughts on the hotly anticipated sequel, and needless to say, it sounds like we’re in for a visual treat come 2015.

Said Sofieda: "I got to see some pretty raw stuff from the new game, including drawings of planned action sequences and how all the characters look like now with upgraded graphics. It was almost scary to see Sully as an almost living person. I also got to see a few seconds of the opening scene, which is still under development, but already looking incredible.

"They showed some tests where Drake was going through a bit of tall grass and how every straw reacted to his movements while also responding to the wind. It was crazy. I’ve never seen anything like it."

Naughty Dog has been confirmed to appear at the PlayStation Experience in December, though it remains unknown if Uncharted 4 will be shown off at the event.

The first teaser for the game was unveiled last December, with another trailer—running in real-time on PS4 and featuring an appearance from Drake himself—cropping up at E3 back in June.

Regardless, Naughty Dog has assured fans that more info on the game is ‘coming soon.’
