Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has been given an October 1, 2015 release date by U.S. retail giant Walmart.
While retailers typically stick a placeholder date on video game listings, it’s interesting to note that this perhaps holds a little more weight as it puts the game out in the nearly the same time frame as its predecessors.
Previously, another listing pegged the game for a July 2015 launch, which isn’t typical of the console Uncharted games, which arrive in the fall/winter period.
Uncharted 4 is due out exclusively on PlayStation 4, with developer Naughty Dog recently confirming it won’t push for 60fps if it comes at a detriment to player experience.
The action-adventure sequel is a considerable step up in terms of visuals, with texture resolution quadrupled in comparison to that of its predecessor, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.
