Live from Sony’s PlayStation Experience keynote today, Naughty Dog showcased 15 minutes of gameplay from Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End which was running in realtime on a PS4.
Gameplay looked fairly typical of previous Uncharted games with Nathan Drake navigating an island jumping across ledges, with some help from a grappling hook, while climbing cliff-faces with what appeared to be a Tomb Raider-style pick axe.
The environment looks incredible, with lush vegetation, incredible views across the sea and smooth animation. It wouldn’t be Uncharted without action-scenes and the gameplay video showcases hand-to-hand combat, takedowns and plenty of gunplay.
Little was revealed about the storyline, though we did hear South African accents from the gang on the island and at the conclusion of the gameplay section, Nathan met up with his older brother Sam, who will play some part in the adventure.
