Uncharted film coming 2016, but who will play Nathan Drake?

It seems that Sony’s long-gestating Uncharted film adaptation will finally see the light of day. According to The Hollywood Reporter, June 10, 2016, a date originally reserved for The Amazing Spider-Man 3, will now be the theatrical debut of everyone’s favorite mass-murdering treasure hunter.

Rumors abound as to who will play the franchise’s main protagonist, Nathan Drake, with Mark Wahlberg at the forefront of speculation. Confirmed production members include director Seth Gordon, with Avi Arad, Charles Roven, and Alex Gartner producing. Sony Pictures Entertainment President Doug Belgrad was optimistic of the film’s revealed date:

"June 10 is a great date for Uncharted," Belgrad added. "It’s just the right place for this exciting action-adventure film."
