Sony’s Asad Quizilbash has confirmed to the folks at IndustryGamers that the Uncharted franchise has sold over 13 million units worldwide.
The latest entry in the series, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, released back in early November and shipped 3.8 million units in just one day.
Cheeky chappie Nathan Drake first arrived on the scene back in 2007 with Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. Naughty Dog followed up with the critically acclaimed Uncharted 2: Among Thieves in October 2009.
Elsewhere, Quizilbash wouldn’t be drawn into whether or not there would be a sequel to Drake’s Deception, simply stating, “We can’t talk about any future title releases. We will continue to make games that our consumers love experiencing.”
Sony also pledged to continue to support the game throughout the holidays with ‘traditional’ advertising and PR.
